About New Hope
New Hope's desire is to be an expression of Christianity with a contemporary edge; exploring new ways of being church which are relevant today whilst remaining true to its biblical roots. We want to be a church where those who want to explore what Christianity is all about can do so in a way that relates to real life in our culture, and in a non threatening way. We believe that Jesus offers new hope to any who seek it.

A Brief History
The church was planted out from Poynton Christian Fellowship on the 14th December 1997. Members from PCF and their children left to start the new church in Cheadle Hulme, led by Christian Life Fellowship's senior minister Glyn Thomas and his wife Betty.

On 11th November 2001 Trevor and Michelle Mobbs moved from Poynton Christian Fellowship to take on the leadership of the church. This has allowed Glyn to oversee the work of CLF and to focus more on the work of Light and Life ministries, the international training and social concern work of CLF.

We celebrated the start of 2002 with a new name - New Hope Community Church. Our vision is to see a Spirit filled church planted in the heart of the community of Cheadle Hulme, sharing the good news that new hope can be found in Jesus Christ.

In September 2008 the leadership was taken on by Anthia Frank, Roland Ogden and Andrew Renshaw, working under the oversight of Glyn Thomas and Andrew Allan, and continuing the exciting journey of New Hope.

New Hope Community Church and Poynton Christian Fellowship together form Christian Life Fellowships. Our two churches work together in close partnership with common funds and oversight. We are part of the Assemblies of God denomination, and are members of the Evangelical Alliance.

In the early years we met for worship at the Waterside Hotel in Didsbury, but we are delighted to have our own premises at 6a Station Road, Cheadle Hulme.
