We will be hosting a Frugal Supper for a limited number of guests on Friday 4th March at the Haven Support Centre (4 Whippendell Road, Watford, WD18 7LU). 

You are invited to join us for a formal dinner but, where you would normally expect to receive a three course meal, you will only be given a bowl of soup and some bread. The evening's entertainment will be provided by the fantastic Watford-based music group, Luxford.

At the end of the evening, guests will be asked to leave a donation of what they would expect to pay for a three course meal if they went out to a restaurant. 

The idea behind a frugal supper is to highlight the contrasts between those of us who are fortunate enough to afford a nice meal at a restaurant and someone who is homeless just being glad of a warming bowl of soup.

Alternatively, why not run your own? If you have a church or community hall with a kitchen, you could put on a frugal supper there. Or you could approach a local hotel and ask them to host. All they need to do is provide the soup and bread.
