There are lots of ways to help people who are homeless in Watford this Christmas from volunteering to buying much-needed items, to donating to our Christmas appeal or purchasing alternative gifts.
'A BED INSTEAD' APPEAL
The hard stone step of a shop doorway, beneath the flickering lights of an underpass or struggling to sleep to the sounds of thundering trains. For some, this is the reality of the Christmas period. Secluded spots, barely shielded from the wind, rain or frost.
Give hope this Christmas, give a bed instead.
Volunteer wrappers needed to gift wrap Christmas presents for shoppers at intu on 21 December. If you are not phased by the idea of wrapping a pogo stick while wearing a Santa hat, we'd love to hear from you! Email Rebecca for more information and to sign up. We’re looking for volunteers to help for two hour shifts (9am-11am 11am-1pm, 1pm-3pm, 3pm-5pm, 5pm-7pm and 7pm-9pm).
Come over to ours for Christmas! You’ll have to cook and wash up but you’ll meet some amazing people and have a Christmas you’ll never forget. And if you’re busy on 25 December, how about New Year’s Day? Start 2018 off in the best possible way. Click here to apply.
