Multiple Locations:

Three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are in crisis. Part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

Offering:

Food parcels containing sufficient nutrition for at least three days worth of healthy, balanced meals for individuals and families. (note: food parcels only suitable for those with access to safe cooking devices and utensils)

Adapted food parcels to meet dietary needs, for example, gluten free, halal or vegetarian.

Eat Well Spend Less – a six-week basic cookery, nutrition and budget management course.

Additional support alongside emergency food, to help people address the underlying issues behind their crisis.

Cost: free to access - food parcels available in exchange for vouchers (see referral procedure).

Eligibility Criteria:  anyone experiencing a crisis, ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income.

Referral Procedure: Citizens Advice, children’s centres, health visitors, the RSPS and TST are all registered holders of food vouchers. Other agencies can make a referral by contacting the Watford Foodbank by phone, email or the online form on the website.
