Summer Sleepout 2015!

  • Soul Survivor Watford 5 Greycaine Rd Watford, WD24 7GP United Kingdom (map)

The Summer Sleepout is back and we’ve made a few changes!

This year we will be at Soul Survivor Watford Church on Greycaine Road giving the whole event a bit more of an industrial feel.

As well as a different location, we are also going to make it a bit more real in other ways. There are going to be tasks to challenge your views of homelessness and get you to think about what it might actually be like to sleep rough.

Think you can hack it? If you want to take part you will need to be in in school years 7-13 (aged between 11 and 18) and be part of a group led by an adult over the age of 21.

Each group will have to provide one group leader per 10 young people and where the groups are mixed, a female and male leader will be required.

All participants must have the consent of their legal guardian and remain the responsibility of their group leader throughout the night. The event will be overseen by New Hope stewards who are DBS-checked and first aid trained.

Toilet facilities and hot drinks will be available during the entire event.

It is a sponsored event so we challenge you to raise as much money as you can for the work of New Hope with those who are homeless in Watford.

To sign up, ask your group leader to email Nafisa at events@newhope.org.uk or on 01923 227 132.
