Gifts from Rudolf Steiner

Sleeping bags and socks were generously donated to us by the students of Rudolf Steiner School in Kings Langley.

On 13th November, students and staff visited our Community Market Garden where they learnt about the causes and effects of homelessness. Members of the New Hope staff team ran a variety of workshops from knitting to storytelling as a way of engaging the students with the subject of homelessness.

As well as learning about homelessness, they responded to our urgent appeal for sleeping bags and socks. They donated 13 winter sleeping bags and 87 pairs of socks, which added up to around £700 worth of donations - amazing!

With an increase in rough sleeping in Watford, these sleeping bags are vital to keeping those sleeping rough, alive. As temperatures drop and it gets even colder, these sleeping bags will provide that extra layer of protection from the elements.

Please consider donating sleeping bags, new socks and new boxer shorts this winter to help us provide these essential items for our service users. If you can help, please contact us at supporter.relations@newhope.org.uk or call us on 01923 227 132.
