On Saturday 30th September, we were presented with the prestigious Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. ‘The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service is the MBE for voluntary groups’ said Kat Joyce, our volunteer co-ordinator. The award was presented by Deputy Lieutenant, Penny Williams JP DL, representing the Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire.

‘We are delighted to have our volunteers’ hard work, commitment and enthusiasm recognised in this way. All our 190 volunteers: our team of hands-on trustees, our charity shop volunteers, our befrienders and those who serve food to the homeless at the Haven Support Centre, they are all thrilled to have received this award.’
