Break the Cycle - Spring Newsletter 2023

The mental health support from the Tenancy Sustainment Team has been above and beyond. They have helped me to maintain my tenancy, as well as get the right support and medication for my mental health issues, instead of self-medicating.” Amber (currently supported by the mental health outreach worker)

The newsletter from New Hope also includes:

  • information on our Christmas appeal, In From the Cold, which raised over £40,000 to help people in desperate need of shelter (a huge thank you to our donors!)

  • a feature on our outreach service’s work with people sleeping rough in Watford

  • an update on our emergency winter accommodation provision

  • a story from a grateful woman who was supported by our Emergency Accommodation service in a time of crisis

  • our inspiring volunteers and fundraisers who help in every season, at all times of day and night

  • tributes to Ian Peck and Tim Odbert, who were both heavily involved with New Hope, and who both passed away recently.

We are looking for individuals and corporate groups to join a team of New Hope staff and volunteers to take part in the Thames Bridges Trek on 9 September. Please contact my colleague, Rebecca Palmer, on rpalmer@newhope.org.uk, if you are interested in joining this team and fundraising for New Hope.
