Volunteer for our Christmas gift wrapping fundraiser

Volunteer for our Christmas gift wrapping fundraiser

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back this Christmas? Join us on Saturday, December 20, for a heart-warming day of gift wrapping and fundraising at The Harlequin Shopping Centre in Watford - and help us support local people experiencing homelessness.

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us wrap gifts, collect donations, and share the spirit of Christmas with shoppers while raising vital funds for those in need.

Christmas can be an especially tough time for those without a home. By giving just a few hours of your day, you’ll be helping New Hope continue its work providing shelter, support, and hope to individuals and families facing homelessness in our community.

Volunteers will be:

  • Wrapping Christmas presents

  • Chatting with shoppers and explaining our cause

  • Accepting voluntary donations for the gift-wrapping service

  • Wearing festive attire (optional - but encouraged!) to create a warm holiday atmosphere

All equipment will be provided, and you don’t need to be a gift-wrapping expert - just bring your smile and willingness to help!

We’re asking volunteers to sign up for 2-3 hour shifts between 9am and 9pm. Whether you can give a whole day or just a couple of hours, your time will make a difference.

If you'd like to volunteer, please get in touch by emailing Frazer Ansell at fansell@newhope.org.uk.

We welcome individuals, pairs, and small groups - the more the merrier!

Remember, every ribbon tied and every present wrapped will raise awareness of New Hope and help fund life-changing services across Watford. This is your chance to help bring hope, dignity, and a little Christmas magic to those who need it most.
