The Haven - Homelessness Support and Advice Centre

Support & Advice Centre for People Facing Homelessness

The Haven focuses on providing humanitarian aid and practical help for people facing homelessness. During their ‘Drop In’ service they offer hot food, showers, laundry facilities and clean clothes. Alongside this the team provides assistance and advice on housing applications, benefits, medical referrals and any additional support needed to those threatened with homelessness, or those who are homeless but may, or may not be rough sleeping.

The Haven impact:

In the financial year 2025/26 319 different people attended the Haven and we saw 126 people with a new case of homelessness.

When you’re homeless you feel invisible. People look the other way, or cross the street to avoid you. But the volunteers at the Haven don’t look the other way. They see you and they talk to you like you’re human, like you matter. That keeps you going.”
— Bobby, a man who accessed the Haven
