Provides 200+ single rooms for individuals experiencing homelessness in Watford. Key work support is provided although individuals with extra support needs would need to be engaging with other relevant support agencies.

Offering:

Individual rooms with shared bathroom facilities.

Breakfast and dinner included.

Access to YMCA facilities such as the gym.

Individual keyworker support to facilitate rehousing.

Available to those with a clean criminal record check.
 

Cost: £27.50 per week for individuals claiming benefits. Rent considerably higher for those in employment.

Eligibility Criteria: be from Hertfordshire and/or have a local connection. Be aged between 18 and 59 years old. Be able to supply proofofa low income or receiving state benefits. A Police criminal record check (will be conducted by the hostel). Be able to supply a professional character reference on headed paper.

Referral Procedure: attend YMCA in person to complete an application form.

Provides 125 single rooms for individuals experiencing homelessness. Max length of stay: 18 months. Key work support is provided although individuals with extra support needs would need to be engaging with other relevant support agencies.

Offering:

Individual rooms.

Breakfast and dinner included.

Access to YMCA facilities such as the computer suite.

Individual keyworker support to facilitate rehousing.

Access to development courses.
 

Cost: £24.65 p/w for individuals claiming benefits. Rent considerably higher for those in employment.

Eligibility Criteria: ages 18-58 only. Will not accept serious violent offences, sex offences or arson. Less serious violent offences will be looked at on a case by case basis. Low to medium support needs only.

Short to medium term accommodation for individuals aged 16-30. Offer 126 rooms across their 3 phase accommodation service (each phase gets progressively more independent). Priority given to those with a local connection to the local council.

Offering:

Short-term (2 years) and affordable supported and non-supported accommodation for 16-30 year olds.

98 supported living bedsits and flats.

28 unsupported studio flats.

Activities for personal and social development.
 

Cost: £25.90 per week.

Eligibility Criteria: age 16-30 only. Will not accept individuals with criminal records showing violence, criminal damage, arson, sex offences, possession with intent to supply.
