Home of Homes

Today, Dunelm opened their newest store in Watford’s Atria centre to the sound of live Christmas carols. Rebecca, our Fundraising and Communications Manager, visited the store with Matthew, New Hope’s CEO, and Alison and John from the Tenancy Sustainment Team as they gave a few words of gratitude to the store’s team before taking part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

As New Hope is a small, community charity that relies on the generosity of local people, companies, schools and faith groups, we are always thrilled to join with local businesses get in contact wanting to get involved. Dunelm has already been so generous to New Hope’s Tenancy Sustainment Team with a donation used to purchase a great many household items for some our service users in temporary accommodation and others who are moving into their own homes after a period of homelessness. As we are entering the coldest months of the year, we are really grateful for Dunelm’s support.

Most properties our residents move into once they leave New Hope have bare walls, no carpets, no furniture or living essentials, nothing, and it is only through the generosity of people and companies that we are able to help them turn their new space into a home.
